500 g pickled herring
300 g natural jogurt
2 tbsp rapeseed oil
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1-2 tbsp mustard
Cut herring filets into strips. For the marinade mix yoghurt with oil, vinegar and mustard.
Refine with a little lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add to the fish and mix well, garnish with minced dill.
Pickled herring ("Bismarkherring" in Germany) are herring filets, which were marinated in vinegar, oil, onions, mustard seeds and bay leaves. In Austria they are also called "Russen".
